Justin, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé and Big Brovaz are among the artists nominated for the 2003 MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards which will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall on September 25th. Justin is up against Ashanti, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Terri Walker for the Best R&B Act award, and he faces competition from 50 Cent, Terri Walker, Big Brovaz, Floetry and Beyoncé in the Mastercard Best Album category. Chad blasts Justin

Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has blasted Justin for his sponsorship deal with McDonald's. He told Radio 1, "I don't think that you should sponsor or get behind something unless you really believe in it. If you're gonna jump on a cause, that's a lot cooler than just taking the money and allowing some corporation to use your face - because it's supposed to be about the music, right? It's not supposed to be about, 'this is me with a Big Mac in my hand', or 'this is me with Nike sneakers'. Whatever it is. I just think that if you're gonna be in the music business, be in the music business.

McDonald's is loving Justin as part of its new marketing appeal to today's customers, culture and lifestyles. The Golden Arches has officially confirmed a multi-tiered international partnership with Justin tied to McDonald's unprecedented worldwide brand campaign, 'I'm Lovin' It', launching in more than 100 countries this month. Justin said, "I love what McDonald's is doing with this new campaign and it's cool to be a part of it. We share the same crowd - people who like to have fun - and that's what this new partnership is all about." Justin releasing two DVDs

MTV News reports that Justin has confirmed the release of two new DVDs for later this year. 'Justified - The Videos' is set for a US release date of September 23rd and will include all the videos from the album, as well as TV specials. The 'Live In London' DVD will be released in the States on November 18th and will include concert and backstage footage.

'USA Today' writer Edna Gunderson chatted with readers in an online chat recently and was asked about the kiss between Britney and Madonna and Justin's reaction to it. She said, "Priceless indeed. I thought it was a bit unfair and tacky of MTV to zoom in on Timberlake's response, particularly since I suspect most people in that room were exhibiting similar responses. My reaction was a big yawn."

Duran Duran are hoping to get into the studio with Justin after meeting him at the 2003 VMAs. Simon of the band told 'The Sun', "We spent a lot of the night with him. He is a great bloke. I told him I think his album is fantastic and we talked about doing something with him."

Justin was one of the big winners at the 20th annual MTV Video Music Awards last night, taking home three moonmen. He won the awards for Best Pop Video, Best Dance Video and Best Male Video. On receiving the Best Pop Video award he took Timbaland on stage with him and told the audience, "Wow! We did it, boy, we did it! So, let me clear one thing up. Yes, I am the Punk'd bitch, that's me! And, wow, I really don't know what to say, but let me thank Jive for getting the record out, let me thank Francis Lawrence for an incredible concept, for a genius video. Let me thank Timbaland for a crazy beat! And everybody that voted for me, this is cooler than bubblegum for me. Thank you so much." Justin also picked up the Best Dance Video award, taking Pharrell and Chad of the Neptunes on stage to accept the award with him. Receiving the award from Duran Duran he said, "Thank you. Thank you. Make some noise; Duran Duran is on stage y'all! I wanted to bring these guys up too. This is my family. I know y'all know Pharrell and Chad. Somebody that I thought missed an award tonight that went unrecognised, and he's my homeboy too, Marty Kudelka, who choreographed this video. He is one of my best friends and I owe this to him. I share this with you my friend. How are y'all doin' in the top?! I'm not good at the acceptance speeches. I wanna say mom, I love you. Dad, I love you. All my family, I love you. Cool... I can dance!" And here's what Justin told the audience after receiving the Best Male Video award: "Thank you. Erm, this is a travesty! I demand a recount! And I just wanna say two things real quick. It's an honour to be in a category with people like Eminem and 50 Cent and people that I admire. John Mayer as well. But also, my grandfather raised me on Johnny Cash. I'm from Tennessee, and I think he deserves this more than any of us in here tonight. So I guess in some cool way I share this award with him. He deserves a round of applause. Thank you MTV. Teenage boys are hoping to get 'in sync' with Justin's fashion sense according to a new American survey. In the survey of 2000 American teen shoppers, General Growth Properties, one of the USA's largest shopping centre owners, developers and managers, has released its top 10 list of fashionable celebrities teenagers will be dressing like. Justin topped the best dressed males, above the likes of Nelly, Eminem, P Diddy, Ashton Kutcher, Brad Pitt and 50 Cent. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez was voted the best dressed female, above Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Christina Aguilera.

American magazine 'Us Weekly' caught up with Justin recently and asked him if his tour mate Christina Aguilera has gotten a bad reputation for her weight gain. He said, "Everyone in the limelight is expected to have a so-called perfect body. But when an entertainer portrays their true self, it shouldn't matter." Justin also spoke about his chances at this year's VMAs: "I never expect anything. But at any awards show there's always the adrenaline rush when you're nominated."

Accident disrupts tour

Justin and Christina's 'Justified & Stripped' tour has been postponed after sound, lighting, video and staging equipment crashed to the floor before a show in Atlantic City. It's not yet known when the American tour will resume but promoters have said that more than £624,000 worth of damage was caused. A statement from Jive Records said, "It's undetermined when the tour will resume. All attempts are being made to finish the tour and revisit postponed dates. Ticket holders for the postponed show are encouraged to hold on to their tickets, as they will be honoured in the future." The statement said the incident was "due to structural failure of a ceiling grid". About thirty were loading the equipment at the Broadwalk Hall venue and managed to get out of the way when the large steel structure collapsed, the 'Press of Atlantic City' newspaper reports. Two people were treated at the Atlantic City Medical Center for cuts and bruises. Neither Justin or Christina were in the building at the time. The 'Press of Atlantic City' spoke to fans after the show was cancelled. One fan who drove for six hours to see Justin said, "I just wanted to cry. What else could you do? What else could you say after driving six hours? We're really disappointed." Justin is officially the world's sexiest man, according to a new UK poll. Justin overtook David Beckham to top 'Company' magazine's annual '100 Sexiest Men' survey. He shot up 46 places to take the crown after enjoying an "extraordinary year of success". 'Company' editor Sam Baker said, "It takes a special sort of bloke to knock David Beckham off his throne but Justin has done just that in the space of 12 short months." Justin's Toronto performance

Justin joined Mick Jagger and the rest of the Rolling Stones on stage in Toronto last night. Justin was in town to perform at a musical event aimed at boosting tourism in the area after the SARS outbreak earlier this year. The afternoon kicked off on a low point for Justin when a sign held by a member of the crowd, which questioned his sexuality, made it to the big screen for about fifteen seconds. Justin took to the stage, obviously wary of the crowd, and said, "This will be over before you know it." During his performance, which consisted of mini versions of 'Cry Me A River', 'Señorita' and 'Rock Your Body', Justin dodged water bottles flung by anti-pop audience members, and he winced slightly at the crowd's jeers. But he thanked the crowd and the city of Toronto before leaving the stage and making way for the likes of AC/DC and the Stones. Justin did get some revenge though when Mick Jagger invited him onstage for a performance of 'Miss You'. And though the audience still managed to throw some bottles Justin's way, guitarist Keith Richards angrily motioned to the crowd to show Justin a bit more respect.
After the gig, Justin spoke to MuchMoreMusic.com. He said it was the largest crowd he's ever performed for, with over 400,000 fans on hand. He said that every time he goes to Toronto, the people show him a lot of love and are very polite. Justin said it doesn't get any better than being on the same stage as the Rolling Stones and being part of a landmark for history. HOB record broken

Last week Justin performed at the House of Blues in Chicago and broke records by selling 1300 tickets in 64 seconds, according to the 'Chicago Sun-Times'. The reporter called the mini-concert a "raunchier-than-usual set" since he's playing in front of a crowd made up of people aged 21 and over.

Justin has just finished filming his new video 'Señorita'. MTV.com says, "Justin Timberlake certainly knows how to enjoy the single life. The singer just wrapped up his latest video... and in the clip he's not just wooing one or two girls, but a room full of bodacious beauties... With a vibe that conjures up the dusty, sultry image of a Spanish roadhouse, Timberlake is in full playa mode, surrounded by - as a label rep puts it - lots of "Latin mamis" for the Spanish-themed song. Last month... Timberlake was asked about the concept of the video... Would he be aiming his affections at just one lady? "No," the pop star said. "Why should you limit yourself to just one?" Indeed." Both Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo make cameo appearances in the video, which will premiere in America on TRL on Monday July 21st.

Justin has been asked by Queen Elizabeth II to perform for her at the 2003 Royal Variety Performance in November, which will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland. Justin hasn't yet given the Queen his answer, but officials at Buckingham Palace are apparently desperate to sign him up for the event. A Palace spokeswoman said, "It just goes to show that no woman on Earth is immune to his charms!" This is the second time Justin has been asked to perform for the Queen this year. While he was touring the UK in May he was asked to visit Buckingham Palace, but his tour schedule meant that he couldn't make it.

Bubba Sparxxx has teamed up with Justin for a tune called 'Hootnanny' and the rapper spoke to MTV News about the collaboration: "We just went into the studio. Like, he sold 87 trillion records and I sold like, what, six, seven-hundred thousand? We just traded real to real. You do a verse on my album, I do a verse on yours. He came up with the hook and I came through with my most lethal verses. It's a dope song." Bubba also backed up his buddy Justin: "Anybody that hates on Justin is just a hater. You really can't just hate on the kid. He's a great person. He works hard and he has a great personality. What can you say about that kid? Big shout out to Justin; he's a real great dude."

You will soon be able to listen to Justin and Christina together on the same CD when 'Justin & Christina' becomes available in America on July 1st. Target Stores will offer this exclusive CD featuring new and remixed songs from both artists. The CD features a new, never-released track from both singers: 'That's What Love Can Do' by Christina and 'Why, When, How' by Justin. There are also two remixed tracks from each artist: Christina's 'Beautiful' and 'Fighter', and Justin's 'Rock Your Body' and 'Cry Me A River'. Christina said, "I'm so happy to have our CD at Target for all the fans who might not be able to come to our concert, or just want a little more of our music." MTV has set up a group of people, including Justin, Britney, Madonna, P Diddy, Nelly, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Good Charlotte and Limp Bizkit, to poke fun at TRL host Carson Daly in a TV special during America's 'MTV Bash'. The show will include topics of ridicule, which are expected to include his famous friends, love life and the excessive amount of time Carson apparently spends with teenagers on TRL. The show will air in the US on Sunday July 13th.

Due to overwhelming demand, Justin has announced more UK tour dates on top of the twelve dates already arranged for December. He'll be playing twelve more dates in January 2004, stopping off at London's Earl's Court, the SECC in Glasgow, the NIA in Birmingham, Newcastle's Telewest Arena and the MEN Arena in Manchester.
'The Show After The Show'

After his concert at the Staples Center in LA, Justin took to the stage late last night at the House of Blues in Los Angeles for what was dubbed 'The Show After The Show'. The HOB was open to fans aged 21 and above, and Justin gave them all a real treat with a more intimate and mature show compared to his earlier concert. MTV.com said about the show, "Mainly, the gig allowed Timberlake to completely shed his pop-star skin, as his six-song, 45-minute show included no preprogrammed tracks, rehearsed choreography or ostentatious stage props. Instead, the lucky fans who swiped up $35 tickets when the show was announced three days earlier saw the former boy-band pinup fronting a funk group, freestyling entire songs and playing guitar... Timberlake apparently came up with the idea for 'The Show After The Show', a series of club appearances along his arena tour intinerary, as a special treat to his fans. However, judging by the smile on his baby face Tuesday, it was just as much a treat for himself... Wearing a 'Girls Gone Wild' mesh cap and blue 'Lite Beer' T-shirt, Justin took 'Cry Me A River' to unexplored territory, prompting the band to jam through an extended bridge and the strip the music down for some a cappella harmonies. At one point he screamed, "Bitch, why do you cry to me?", prompting massive applause... Definitely not a typical Justin Timberlake show."

An unofficial Justin biography is due to be published by Virgin Books in the UK on June 26th. It will include fifty Justin photos and a full and detailed analysis of his life so far, including his relationship and career highs and lows. The 'New York Daily News' reports Justin and Cameron were spotted "kissing, and holding hands all night" while on a date at Suede. Justin only left Cameron for a moment to talk to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. A 'spy' revealed, "The guys were talking about doing a collaboration project. Cameron waited at a table for Justin."

In the 'You Tell Us' section of MTV.com, a girl named Samantha from Florida talks about Justin's acceptance speeches at the recent VMAs. She writes, "It did not escape my attention that Justin Timberlake failed to thank *NSYNC in any of his three acceptance speeches while Beyoncé was nothing but gracious toward Destiny's Child. It also did not escape my notice that he made a not-so-subtle dis toward his group's music when he said winning was 'cooler than bubblegum'. *NSYNC made him what he is and gave him a chance to go solo. What an ungrateful ass."

Britney and Jared were photographed leaving Dolce, a club in LA, before meeting up again at Ben Affleck's 31st birthday bash. Sky News Active has delivered some bad news for *NSYNC fans: "The solo fame of *NSYNC band member Justin Timberlake has apparently scuppered plans for the band to reunite. The boys are reported to have been preparing to record their fifth album together later this year. A world tour had been pencilled-in for early 2004. But Justin's solo tour has been such a huge success that he has added extra dates. And his advisors are said to have told him never to go back to the band that made him famous."

According to both 'The Daily Sport' and 'Heat' magazine, Justin could have had his ears pinned back since his boy band days. A cosmetic surgeon has claimed that Justin's ears look like they have been altered since his days in *NSYNC. After looking at an old picture of Justin compared to a more recent one, Harley Street surgeon Dr Dai Davies revealed: "Correcting protruding ears in teenagers or young adults is a very easy procedure which is usually done under local anaesthetic." While surfing the Net, I came across an article from 'The Sun' newspaper which was written a couple of months ago. The writer of the article, Dominic Mohan, insults Justin so badly I've never read anything like it before. Here are a few quotes from the article: "He dances like a second-rate Michael Jackson and possesses a girly voice that is best described as average." "It is a sad indictment of the level of talent in this country when some are taken in by a dull boyband puppet like Timberlake." 'Splash News' has reported that Justin is earning a reputation as a cheapskate after he supposedly tried to pay for a late-night bowling party by handing over two tickets to one of his concerts instead of cash. Justin told the owner of the Yerba Buena Bowl in San Francisco that he would give her two tickets to his 'Justified & Stripped' tour if she let him and eight friends bowl for free. The bowling alley's manager, Barbara McBride, spoke to 'Splash News': "He was very nice, but his people kept trying to get a deal. I did discount their shoes, but they decided to stay late. If I'd wanted the tickets it might have seemed like a fair trade. But... I have people to pay." Apparently Justin didn't like having to pay, and didn't leave a tip. According to the manager, Justin even charged fans $20 for an autograph.

'The Sunday People' newspaper has reported that Justin is due to launch his movie career by appearing in a Hollowood movie entitled 'Closing The Ring'. It will allegedly be filmed in Belfast in September. The film is set during the Second World War and tells the story of a US serviceman who is show down over Belfast.
